Comic conventions started in the 1960s as small gatherings where people traded old comic books, they eventually evolved into some of the largest cultural events in the world, attracting hundreds of thousands of people.

The heart of any convention is the main exhibit area. It’s a mix of a flea market, an art gallery, a high-end department store, and comic shop.

In rooms surrounding most main halls, there are "panels". Which are scheduled Q&A sessions or presentations. 

Peli Con offers all the above for the most part as well as having food vendors on site, and arcades. We host video game contests, cosplay contests, and a doodle contest as well. All contest are open to all age groups. All contest have prizes as well. 

"Cosplay" is short for Costume Play. Many attendees spend a lot of time building costumes to look exactly like their favorite characters.

Doodle contest is something that Peli Con has started and been doing so for three years now. The host picks a character or topic and timer starts. Each person is to draw the topic. Once the time is up we judge the pieces and give out winnings accordingly.

To sum it up, comic convention is a community type of show and there is something for everyone.
